I think part of it is just the cyclical nature of these things

Back then, Cburg was awful and Bburg was great. Now the script has flipped. When BHS was great, they had several really good players....The Johnston kid at QB, Cole Beck, and the Terry kid. You put those three kids on this years team and change nothing else, they'd win most of their games.
